What is the Best Time of the Year to Visit Majorca for a Golf Holiday?

The seasons in Majorca are very similar to those in the UK with the coldest temperatures occurring in December through to February and the hottest months being June, July, August and September. However, the low temperature in the winter months is rarely below 10 degrees Celsius and the peak temperatures in the summer are normally around 25 degrees Celsius. The months in which the most rainfall occurs is October and so that could be a month to avoid if a sharp shower would ruin your golf break. Higher than average rainfall is also seen in November, December and January which obviously means that travelling within these dates may well result in umbrella’s going up for a short time at least.

Palma de Mallorca

Port d’Andratx

Port d’Andratx began its life a fishing village and although you will still a few fishing boats here in the afternoons Port d’Andratx is now very much a tourist destination. Port d’Andatx does not have a beach and because of this the town doesn’t feature any of the huge chain hotels that you would expect to find in a tourist destination. However, this area is extremely popular with holiday home owners which ensures that the town remains vibrant all year around. The new harbor creates a focal point in Port d’Andratx and it is within this area that you will find a great range of bars and restaurants, all of which have an upmarket feel to them.

Camp de Mar

Camp de Mar is a small and exclusive resort built around a beautiful beach. Its location just a stone’s throw from Palma, has given Camp de Mar the reputation of being an exclusive and tranquil resort for those that want to be near all of the action but just far enough away to ensure that it doesn’t interfere with any much needed relaxation time! Illetas is a small resort close to Palma. Regarded as perhaps the most exclusive area of Majorca, Illetas is a small resort which offers a range of 4* hotels. The proximity of Illetas to Palma has meant that there are very few shops, bars and restaurants in this town as the majority will head into the city when they can no longer cope with the perfect tranquility that is offered in Illetas.


Canyamel is located on the North East Coast of Majorca and remains relatively undeveloped as a tourist destination.
